The prestigious Chudleys Gundog Championship returns to all seven Countryman Fairs events in 2017, welcoming back handlers and their talented gundogs to see how they fare at the ever-challenging Scurries and Working Test.
For competitors wishing to enter the 2017 Chudleys Gundog Championship, simply turn up and take part at any one of the seven Countryman Fairs qualifying events taking place this year. Re-entries are permitted in the gundog events in 2017, so don’t worry if you get the odd slow time as you can always have another go!
Competitors and spectators can look forward to a return of popular favourites including Up ‘n’ Over, Long Retrieve, Short Fence, Partridge Pen, Pick ‘n’ Mix as well as the Working Test, where gundogs will be put through a series of challenging trials and will get to showcase their incredible level of skill and aptitude as they complete each task. Champions from each of the shows will then go head to head at the Midland Game Fair’s Grand Final in September, with the titleholder awarded with £2,000 cash, an engraved trophy and rosette.
The Lowther Show hosts the 9th and 10th rounds in the Chudleys Gundog Championship over 12th and 13th August. To get involved in all of the action this year, just turn up and sign up, it really is that simple!
