At Lowther’s Fishing Island you will find representatives and organisations from the Eden Valley and the Rivers Annan and Nith, who will be on hand to answer any niggling questions you may have about fishing.
The Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors (AAPGAI) will also be attending this year’s Lowther Show, bringing a variety of angling related stands for you to browse at, enjoyable have-a-go activities and plenty of educational displays and entertainment. AAPGAI will be available to offer their top tips and advice, whether you’re an experienced angler just looking to gain some fresh knowledge or a newbie, eager to learn from the experts.
To improve your fly-casting and fishing skills, AAPGAI will be running adult and junior fly-casting clinics, as well as putting on fascinating fly-casting and fly-tying demonstrations. Borderlines have confirmed their attendance at this year’s Lowther Show, they will be talking about the work they do in communities around Northern England and Southwest Scotland, and how they can help schools and local youth.
Get involved on the Fishing Island at Lowther by participating in activities such as fly-tying, river walks, numerous competitions and family fun. There will also be the opportunity to chat with the professionals, including Pete Bramwell.
