It’s just a few weeks to go until the Lowther Show arrives inside the grounds of Lowther Castle, and if you’re at a loose end with what to do with the kids this summer holiday why not head over to Lowther and get involved in an abundance of have a go countryside activities.
At the Lowther Show there are plenty of opportunities that visitors of all ages can get involved in and have-a-go. From have-a-go clay shooting, traditional gundog scurries, fishing and airsoft to the brand new tug of war and wrestling classes, Lowther has a variety of traditional sporting activities and newer sports to try your hand at.
For the more adventurous out there, why not try the Survival Camp led by ex-British Special Forces soldier Bob Podesta. From essential knots, trapping and net making to navigation, safe fungus identification and morse code, here all ages will come away with a fantastic new experience.
For the younger ones why not head over to the Falconry Classrooms. Here visitors can watch some of the most beautiful birds in flight whilst providing the ultimate hands on experience too.
With plenty going on this August, the Lowther Show is the perfect opportunity to try out sports and lots of fun outdoor activities. With all of the professionals from each activity on hand too, you’re sure to be in the best of hands.
The Lowther Show takes place over 11th and 12th August. To book up your tickets click here.
