The Falconry Classrooms at the Lowther Show has been a huge hit with visitors since they began, providing the ultimate hands-on experience for children and adults alike.
At the Falconry Classrooms in 2018, visitors will be able to get up close and personal with some of the most beautiful birds in the world. Hosted by seasoned demonstrator Terry Large, the classrooms provide a vast amount of experience in handling and keeping birds of prey.
Bringing the world of falconry to the forefront, Terry hosts the classrooms and brings some beautiful raptors to the masses. Having many years experience under his belt, Terry captivates his audience with his wonderful knowledge of birds, putting on an interactive and informative show that visitors of all ages will just love.
Having developed a fascination with birds from a young age – discovering all about wild buzzards, sparrow hawks and peregrines – Terry certainly learnt his apprenticeship early. In fact it was during his teens he progressed to Master Falconer. Now, with years dedicated to the cause, Terry is now a prominent figure in the falconry world and also Chairman of the esteemed Campaign for Falconry.
A great place to learn from the experts, the Falconry Classrooms at the Lowther Show will keep you completely enthralled. To discover more about the Campaign for Falconry you can visit their website at www.hawkboard-cff.org.uk
