Young, dynamic and full of enthusiasm to match, we have seen some very promising youngsters taking part in our gundog events over the years. At the Lowther Show we believe it is time to recognise this potential. The Chudleys Junior Gundog Championship is a competition that delivers on every level for our next generation of gundog scurry and working test handlers.
The Chudleys Junior Gundog Championship will test the handling skills of gundog scurry and working test handlers under the age of 16. The first qualifying event takes place at the Kelmarsh Country Show over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. Junior handlers can qualify for the Grand Final, which will be held in the Working Dog Arena at the Midland Game Fair.
The top junior working test handler and the overall Junior Gundog Scurry Victor Ludorum from the Kelmarsh, Broadlands, Highclere and Lowther Country Shows will go through to the Grand Final. The Midland Game Fair will then host the last qualifying opportunity on Saturday 14th September with the top Gundog Scurry and top Working Test handler earning their place in the Final.
